I am im ormed by His Majesty's Consul Seattle that

you have sanctioned the provisional registry under the me

of ir. G. . Marden of former Chinese vessel Hoida.

While unaware of reasons guiding your decision I feel impelled to point out from ini ornation available in

this office that the genuineness of the transaction whereby

this vessel became the property of Mr. Marden is very much

open to question,

I suggest therefore that grant of full registry to

this vessel and to other vessels in which Mr. Marden is

interested should be withheld until you receive my reports

on recent activities of heelock and Company.
